This policy explains what information Handlark collects when you use the service, and what we do with it.

It covers two groups of people. The first is you, the person who signs up and uses Handlark for your business. The second is your customers, whose details you enter into Handlark.

Account information: your name, email address and a password. We store the password in a protected form, not as plain text.

Business records you enter: customers, enquiries, quotes, jobs, invoices, payments, notes, files and messages.

Technical information: sign-in sessions and basic records of how the service is used, kept so we can keep it secure and working.

We do not store full card details in Handlark.

When you add your customers' details to Handlark, you decide what to enter and why. You are responsible for having a proper reason to hold that information and for telling your customers how you use it.

Our role in handling that information is: Placeholder: controller and processor roles, to be confirmed by a lawyer.

To run the service you asked for, such as showing your records and producing your documents.

To keep the service secure, and to fix problems.

To contact you about your account.

Handlark's core product does not use an AI model to process your information.

We use other companies to run parts of the service, such as hosting, the database, file storage, email and subscription billing.

The providers we use are: Placeholder: list of providers and what each does. Confirm before publishing.

If you connect your own email or payment service, information needed for that service is shared with it.

When you share a quote or invoice, your customer gets a private link. The link shows only that document. It can expire or be turned off by you.

Handlark uses cookies that keep you signed in. Placeholder: full cookie list and any analytics. Confirm what is actually used.

Placeholder: data retention periods. None have been decided or verified, so none are stated here.

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the information we hold about you.

Placeholder: rights that apply in the jurisdictions served, and how to make a request.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top.
